Through my job I have gotten a discount on Martin Guitars, and I was wondering what exact model should I buy? I used to play for fun a couple years ago and get the basics. I can play about 10 songs from start to finish, but want a more quality guitar. Any help….thanks!

Well I am into music, and next year I am going to a camp thats all summer for talented singers, and I want to know how to play an intrument before I go there. I love to sing, and i never knew how to play piano, but guitar is something that has always interested me.

How do I wrap guitar strings correctly?

I just bought a new set of guitar strings and after previously failing I’m determined to get these on correctly. Every other time I’ve strung my guitar the strings would wrap over themselves on the machine heads. I know they should wrap from bottom to top but whenever I try I can’t seem to control the location. Sorry, its hard to describe my situation in words. ><
Can anyone offer tips on how to control winding the strings so that they wrap from bottom to top?

Is it bad to hang a guitar by the neck with a wall mount?

My guitar teacher told me it’s bad to hang them by the neck since they’re supposed to sit on the body.
He actually bought one that was hanged for a long time and it didn’t sound right, he took it to a guitar technician and he told him hanging them damaged the guitar.

I want to learn how to play the guitar and am planning on asking my mom for a guitar for Christmas/my birthday.
I want an acoustic guitar and am wondering what length I should get and if there is any type that is best for beginners.
Oh and I’m about 5′10 if height has anything to do with the length I should get.
